2. Hosting and server log files
When you open our website, your browser automatically transmits data that our host stores in log files: IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, the page you came from, and your browser and operating system. This data is technically necessary to deliver the site and keep it running securely. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The log files are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed for this purpose. Our host processes the data solely on our behalf under a contract pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

3. Cookies and consent
We use Borlabs Cookie to manage consent. A locally stored cookie records which services you have agreed to. This storage is technically necessary under § 25(2)(2) TDDDG. For all content requiring consent, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by opening the cookie settings again.

4. Contact form and e-mail
Through our contact form we process your name, e-mail address and the content of your message, solely in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns membership or support, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the data once your enquiry has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention periods apply. The same applies to enquiries that reach us by e-mail.

5. Maps via OpenStreetMap
On the page “Projects in Malawi” we embed a map from the OpenStreetMap Foundation, St John’s Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom. The map is only loaded after you have explicitly agreed. In doing so, your IP address is transmitted to the OpenStreetMap Foundation and to the service unpkg.com, from which we load the Leaflet mapping software; unpkg.com is delivered via the network of Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can find details at wiki.osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.

6. Social networks and WhatsApp
We do not embed any social media plugins. The icons in the footer of our site are plain links. A connection to Facebook, Instagram or X is only established once you click one of them. The same applies to the link to our WhatsApp group. If you join the group, WhatsApp Ireland Limited processes your data under its own terms; your phone number and profile name will then be visible to the other members of the group. We have no influence over this. Please keep that in mind before joining.

7. Google Analytics
If you consent to the “Statistics” category in the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Nothing of this is loaded without your consent. Google Analytics stores cookies and produces a pseudonymous analysis of how you use this website. IP anonymisation is enabled, so your IP address is shortened before it is processed further. In the course of this, data is also transferred to Google servers in the USA. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings. 8. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and the right to object to processing (Art. 21). You may withdraw consent you have given at any time under Art. 7(3) GDPR. An informal message to mail@moyo-afm.de is sufficient.

9. Right to lodge a complaint
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority at any time. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 27, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

This privacy policy is dated September 2026. We update it whenever our website or the legal situation changes.
